Organic Processing Plan in Malta
SALFO in Joint Venture with ADO SA has been assigned by WasteServ Malta Limited, the National Waste Collection and Management Body of the island, the design, procurement and construction supervision of a new Organic Processing Plant in Malta.
The Maltese Islands generate around 1.4 million tonnes of waste per year, 200,000 tonnes of which comprises Municipal Waste. The purpose of the project is to provide consultancy services in relation to the design and construction of a new unit that would process all the organic waste of the islands separated at source. The project has a total estimated duration of 8 years (3 years for design and procurement, 3 years for construction of the plant and 2 years for the Defects Liability Period).
