SALFO & Associates S.A. has been appointed by Pioneer Engineering Consultancy L.L.C. (PEC), to carry out the Transportation Impact Study (TIS) for an industrial development of approximately 30,000 m2, which comprises of multi user offices, showrooms and production oriented industry facilities. The development is located in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD), which is strategically located in the outskirts of Abu Dhabi in order to benefit from connections to major highways, ports, airports and rail depots.
The aim of the study is to assess the impact of the proposed development to the surrounding road network and assess the operational characteristics of the links and junctions within the study area. The results of the traffic analysis will determine what mitigation measures, if necessary, will be required in order to maintain the operational characteristics of the surrounding road network at acceptable levels according to the guidelines.
