Lusail Reclaimed Islands
The Lusail Reclaimed Islands 1, 2, 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D are located on the east coast of Qatar, approximately 30km north of Doha and 10km off the coast.
SALFO was assigned with the peer review of the Consultant’s slope stability calculations and design, with reference to the islands’ revetment sections.
Recommendations for more cost-effective and efficient alternative construction methods were provided, whereas the possibility of avoiding “sand fill / quarry run” soil replacement of the in-situ “soft clay” layer, has been investigated.
