SALFO has undertaken, as part of its framework agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the preparation for tendering of the extension of Ionia Odos Motorway from Ioannina city to the Greek-Albanian border.
The 68 km long project starts at the existing Interchange of Ionia Odos with Egnatia Odos Motorways and heads north-west towards the Albanian border. The motorway features 12 Interchanges, providing access to the Industrial City of Ioannina, as well as to several settlements in the area, while linking the Ioannina City and its International Airport with the national motorway grid.
