MoMRA Planning and sustainable spatial development of 32 Cities across KSA
SALFO delivered a milestone Urban Planning Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to address challenges faced by the existing settlements due to the sharp urban population rise in the last decades. An integrated framework of planning policies was proposed to promote balanced and sustainable development for 16 small and 16 medium-sized cities across the country.
The study was based on thorough geographical and socio-economic spatial data, collected and analyzed to support the identification of the current urban system characteristics of the sampled cities, as well as to serve as a pilot for general application in the Kingdom.
